Electrical panel work by Shocking Electric Solutions in Newnan, GA

Our Story

It started in 2002 with an apprenticeship through IBEW Local 613, the electricians’ union in Atlanta. That apprenticeship is where our founder got his electrical training, learning the trade in the classroom and on the job.

From there, the work was big commercial and industrial projects. Those jobs were the proving ground for everything that came later: large electrical systems, tight standards and work that has to hold up for years.

In 2008, he started Shocking Electric Solutions. At first he handled every call himself. The company has grown since then, and our founder still runs the business. We are still a locally owned Newnan company, and we still treat every job like our name is on it, because it is.

What That Training Means for Your Home

An apprenticeship is not a shortcut into the trade. It takes years of learning from experienced electricians before you are trusted to do the work on your own. Commercial and industrial projects then add a different kind of experience: larger electrical systems, more circuits and more complex equipment than a typical home will ever have. After working at that scale, the wiring in a house is familiar territory.

Commercial and industrial work leaves little room for shortcuts. That background shapes how we approach every home we work in. We take the time to find the real cause of a problem, we do the work carefully and neatly, and we want it to last.

For you, that means electrical work in your home backed by union training and years of experience on larger systems. Whether you need an electrical panel upgrade, help tracking down a problem with electrical troubleshooting and repairs, a complete home rewire, generator installation, or new lighting and outlets, you get the same standards we learned on large job sites, applied to your home.
